FIFA 12 is out on the PC and home consoles from Microsoft and Sony and the game has been very successful, managing a better launch than last year's version.

But publisher Electronic Arts is also interested in selling copies of FIFA on other devices, from the Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation Portable handhelds to the Wii and the smartphones which are powered by the iOS.

So the company released a number of new screenshots designed to show off how the game looks on devices like the 3DS and the Wii.

The game will not have the same mechanics and there's no hint of the all important Player Impact Engine but for those who do not have the time or the money to play on home devices it can still deliver an exciting football experience.

EA Sports is also working on a FIFA Street spin-off that will be launched next year and is based upon the same game engine.
