The development team at Turtle Rock, publisher 2K Games and Sony announce that they are delaying the launch of the Evolve Big Alpha testing period on the PlayStation 4 because of issues associated with the recently introduced 2.0 firmware.

The official announcement says that the companies are aiming to solve the problems as quickly as possible and that the PC and the Xbox One versions of the game are not affected in any way.

They state, "We’re disappointed too, and we’re going to do our best to make up for this delay. For starters, if you’re a PS4 player affected by this delay and you also own an Xbox One or PC, you can register on one of those platforms right now using the codes below and we’ll send you an invite today so you can start playing."

More information on the Big Alpha for Evolve on the PlayStation 4 will be offered on the official site and the Twitter account of the game.

Those who have been invited to take place can get a look at the core mechanics of the shooter, which pits a team of four humans armed with special abilities against one powerful monster who can increase his power as a match progresses in order to pose a big challenge.

Evolve will be out on February 4 of next year.
