The development team at Paradox Development Studio is offering a new diary for its upcoming Europa Universalis IV, which brings information on how faith, both for rulers and population, will affect the grand strategy experience.

The video features Thomas Johansson, project lead on the game, explaining how the game will handle the structure of various religions and how decisions about God and faith can enhance the power of a ruler or destroy it.

Europa Universalis IV also has a new pre-order bonus for the month of July, called Purple Phoenix, which adds a new, unique event and a number of units to the Byzantine Empire.

All those who pre-order the game will get access to all extra content announced before launch.

The flagship grand strategy experience from Paradox will be launched on August 13 of this year.
