The upcoming Europa Universalis IV grand strategy title will offer gamers a chance to import their saved games from Crusader Kings II in order to continue playing as their favorite faction as long as they are willing to place a pre-order.

The Paradox Development Studio says that all those who pre-order EU IV will get a free copy of the older title and a Saved Game Converter that can adapt the strategic situation from one game to the other.

The team says, “Fans of Crusader Kings II will be able to maintain the empires they have established and guide them through the age of exploration in an all-new strategic experience, continuing their personal stories of expansion and conquest.”

The new pre-order bonuses for Europa Universalis IV will be available starting on August 1.

The team will demo the new saved games transfer feature in a Twitch TV stream at 11 AM PDT.
