Gamers will get a new map to play around with

The team at Paradox Development Studios is today launching the big Art of War expansion for Crusader Kings II, introducing a wide variety of new features to the grand strategy experience, and the associated 1.8 patch is already available and makes some major changes of its own.

The biggest impact is linked to the map of the title, which now has 900 new provinces that flesh out areas that were initially badly represented, with new cultures and more factions to choose from and with more tradenotes that make goods flow better across the globe.

The Reformation and its counter movement now have special centers on the map and all goods have prices set.

Art of War brings even more to the game, focusing mostly on making it easier for gamers to create, organize and move armies to the battlefield while also changing the mechanics associated with wars that involve major alliances.

Paradox also wants to make religious wars created by the Reformation more realistic, and there are new ways to deal with rebels and with the regions that a country can acquire during wars.
