Ted Tsung, one of the developers working on Tales of Xillia at Namco Bandai, announces that the team has managed to complete the voice recording for the English version of the Japanese role playing game and that a launch is now set for 2013.

The producer says, “I’m very much aware that it can be very jarring to someone hearing the English voices when they’re used to hearing the Japanese voices. However, I think our English cast matches the original intention of their character’s persona.”

On the official PlayStation Blog, the developer offers more information on exactly how his team tried to make sure that it matched the voices and took into account the particular tastes of the Japanese and the English audiences.

Tales of Xillia will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 from Sony.
