Playing PCM 2012, Sins of a Solar Empire, Mass Effect 3, Ghost Recon and Diablo III

Andrei Dumitrescu: Summer is not the best time to be a gamer: the sun is shining and the heat means that actually being out, preferably somewhere near the sea, might be a very good idea; there are no major titles released and, in my case, there’s the superb madness of Le Tour de France to enjoy.

This means that I have less time to play during my weekends than ever and that what I have is usually devoted to Pro Cycling Manager 2012, the game from developer Cyanide and publisher Focus Home Interactive.

I am running a season as Radioshack Nissan Trek while at the same time playing the Tour in the Stage Race mode, and I am also spending a little time looking at stats in order to help with a more realistic reflection of the abilities of real-world riders.

Other than that, I also have plans for a late night game of Sins of a Solar Empire – Rebellion with some friends.

Andrei Dobra: It may seem like deja-vu but I’ll spend this weekend once again in the company of three great games: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Mass Effect 3, and Diablo 3.

I’m close to finishing the single-player campaign of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and then I’ll jump into its multiplayer mode. While my friends have yet to get the impressive shooter, I’m more than impressed with the capabilities of my AI squadmates.

Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode is awaiting me with welcome arms, as I want to accumulate as many credits as possible before the release of the Earth DLC next week. What’s more, the special Operation Broadside multiplayer event is also offering some great rewards, so I’m more than looking forward to complete some online matches against the Reapers.

Last but not least, I’ll probably jump back into Diablo 3, if I have time, as I still have plenty of levels to complete before taking my Monk to the 60 limit.
