Publisher Electronic Arts has once again assured fans that it has plans to create a sequel to Mirror’s Edge, apparently using the same main character, but the company is not ready to offer any details or make an official announcement.

Frank Gibeau, who is the leader of the EA Games label, has told Game Informer that, “We have nothing to announce. We love Faith. We love the property. It’s really about how and when do you bring it back? It’s on the list. It’s just about looking at what teams are available, who’s got the right quality approach to it, and who understands it.”

Mirror’s Edge was an innovative experience, which focused on movement rather than on combat and managed to create a solid set of mechanics for a first-person platformer.

Unfortunately, the game failed to be successful on the market, which might explain why Electronic Arts is unwilling to commit to a sequel.
