Matt Firor, the game director working at ZeniMax Online, says that The Elder Scrolls Online is essentially the same experience on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft.

The only clear differences are linked to mapping all the commands to a PC controller and the fact that a keyboard cannot be used to communicate with other gamers.

The developer tells Gamestar.de that, “As a lifelong PC developer and gamer, I am very excited by the fact that the next-gen consoles are so powerful and so PC-like. Gone are the days when you had to make sacrifices porting a game like ESO to consoles.”

Bethesda has recently revealed that the beta version of the MMO will be offered as a time exclusive for the PS4.

The team has recently also said that a subscription model will be used for The Elder Scrolls Online.
