Eiji Aonuma, the current producer working on The Legend of Zelda series, says that his team understands all the desires of the fan base, but cannot create an interesting experience based only on that feedback.

The developer tells Mashable that, “If I made a Zelda game that was exactly what the fans wanted, there wouldn't be any surprise to it. People might enjoy the game because they would have gotten what they wanted, but there wouldn't be anything beyond that.”

Aonuma says that Nintendo is listening to a lot of feedback because he wants to allow gamers who actually enjoy Zelda to influence his vision for the future of the series.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will be launched in late November on the Nintendo 3DS and will represent the first true sequel in the history of the franchise.
