Video game developer EA Sports announces that Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard will be joining Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi on the official cover of FIFA 15 in the United Kingdom.
He will also be featured on the game packages that will be launched in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The official announcement states, “An outstanding 2013/14 campaign for Chelsea saw Hazard bag 14 goals, 7 assists and 92 chances from his 35 appearances. Eden was voted the PFA Young Player of the Year and into the PFA Team of the Year.”
In FIFA 14, the virtual version of Eden Hazard was used to score more than 52 million goals and he has been traded more than 780,000 times in the Ultimate Team mode.
EA Sports also says that it is entering a new long-term partnership with Chelsea Football Clun, becoming their official gaming partner, with a range of social and digital content set to be offered to fans in the coming months.
FIFA 15 will be launched in late September on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and last-gen consoles.
The game uses an entirely new engine in order to deliver improved realism for all core mechanics, and a focus on the Barclays Premier League means that gamers can play on all 20 stadiums with 200 players scanned into the title.
