Sony's next-gen console is already experiencing some problems

It seems that some of the early PlayStation 4 consoles that have been shipped to select customers are suffering from various issues, as some don't start at all while others get bricked (are rendered unoperational) by the system software update 1.50, which has just been released via PSN.

The PS4 launches tomorrow, November 15, in North America, and on November 29, in Europe.

Quite a few customers, however, have received their PS4 units earlier than scheduled, including some who won them during the Taco Bell competition.

Unfortunately, according to a compilation of reports from The Examiner, some units have major issues and don't even work.

Others work for a time but, after getting the firmware update 1.50, they get bricked during the actual software update process.

Sony support wasn't able to fix the consoles remotely and is advising owners to ship the devices back to the company for repairs.
