The video game world has moved fast to support those affected by the recent major earthquake in Nepal, and now the development team at CCP is announcing that all EVE Online players can also contribute to the relief effort.

The company is aiming to donate 15 dollars (14 Euro) of its own for each Plex that the community puts towards this goal.

Gamers who are interested in taking part need to donate in-game currency to a character using a 14-day item exchange contract.

Those who give money for Nepal will get special T-shirts for their EVE Online avatars.

The company states, "Please note that CCP regards any scamming attempts surrounding PLEX for GOOD to be morally reprehensible and any attempts at scamming relating to this program will be met with the harshest and swiftest action at our disposal."

The charity drive runs until May 15, and all the money will be delivered to the Icelandic Red Cross.

Gamers who are interested in contributing to the relief efforts for Nepal can also use video games like Far Cry 4 and Destiny.

Ubisoft is matching donations up to 100,000 dollars (90,000 Euro), while Bungie is offering special T-shirts for all those who are interested in donating money.
