Electronic Arts' Sports division has confirmed that it's shifted the attention of its Fight Night team on the new UFC game, as it wants to make sure that the new experience is a successful one.

EA Sports has delivered a variety of great titles over the years and, besides yearly installments in series like FIFA or Madden, it's also focused on contact sports, like boxing, with the Fight Night franchise.

Now, after signing a deal to make UFC games, EA's Andrew Wilson has confirmed to IGN that the core Fight Night team is working on the new UFC title.

Even so, Wilson emphasized that the Fight Night series has a future but, at least for now, UFC is where the company's fighting focus is pointed at.

Alongside FIFA 14 or Madden 25, the new UFC game will be powered by EA's next-gen Ignite engine.
