Electronic Arts has confirmed that it is once again going to shut down the online multiplayer services for a variety of older games, including lots of sports ones like FIFA 11, Madden NFL 11, NBA Jam, or NBA Live 10, not to mention The Sims 2.

EA has made a habit of turning off the online services for games that were released a few years ago, even if they still recorded some activity in their multiplayer modes.

The latest games that will see their online services turned off, as of January 11, have just been announced via EA's official website.

They include plenty of sports titles, like FIFA Soccer 11, FIFA Soccer 11 Ultimate Team, Madden NFL 11, Madden NFL 11 Ultimate Team, NBA Jam, NBA Live 10, NCAA Football 11, NHL 11, and NHL 11 Ultimate Team.

Besides these sports titles, another big game that will see its online services terminated on January 14 is The Sims 2 for PC and Mac.
