Developer EA Sports promised fans of its popular basketball video game franchise that there will be numerous improvements to be found in the next installment, NBA Live 16.

The information comes from the EA Games official Twitter account, where a fan asked whether we could expect gameplay improvements in the upcoming sports title, and the company replied that "big improvements" were on the way.

EA Sports will unveil the upcoming NBA Live 16 next month, at the E3 convention, and hopefully, we will get a glimpse of actual gameplay and see the improvements EA is touting for ourselves.

Today, the premier basketball video game franchise is 2K's NBA series, but EA Games is coming strong and doing its best to catch up.

Electronic Arts' franchise went through a hiatus before releasing NBA Live 14, and then failed to deliver an experience on par with the competition's.

The company then went back to the drawing board and did its best to deliver a more satisfying experience with NBA Live 15, which had vastly superior visuals, but was still found to be lacking in the gameplay department.

Both NBA Live 15 and 2K Sports' NBA 2K16 are slated for release later this year, ahead of the National Basketball Association season start in October.
