Electronic Arts Chief Financial Officer, Blake Jorgensen, has clarified his previous statement about microtransactions in future games, saying that it applied to mobile titles and that full-fledged games will only receive microtransactions that enrich the experience.

EA angered quite a few of its fans last month when its CFO, Blake Jorgensen, said that the company was eager to implement microtransactions in all of its future games, just like it did with recent titles like Dead Space 3.

Now, Jorgensen has clarified his statement, saying that it applied only to mobile games.

In terms of full-fledged titles, EA is eager to implement microtransactions only to enrich the experience.

"We are very conscious that we don't want to make consumers feel like they're not getting value. We want to make sure consumers are getting value," he said, via Polygon.

Even so, EA is dedicated to implementing extensive DLC support plans for its future games, given the success of Battlefield 3's Premium bundle or Mass Effect 3's year-long content release schedule.
