The E3 trade show can be a very disorienting experience and at no point is that more clear than during the first day of the event, when a big line tends to eagerly expect the opening of the show floors and fans flock to the titles that they want to experience.
I tend to first visit the Into the Pixel exposition, which has done a great job over the years of showcasing the art that is created by the development teams working on the biggest franchises of the moment.
I then headed out to Bethesda, where I was supposed to see both Battlecry and The Evil Within, and took a few images of the show floor around me, even if I was pressed for time.
I then headed to the Electronic Arts booth, where I managed to get some hands-on time with FIFA 15, which is shaping up to be a solid title in the franchise, and I also managed to get a look at Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Time is limited during the show by the meetings that each attendee has arranged, but once more, I took some pictures of the booths around me.
Take a look at some of the images that defined the first day of E3 2014 for me in the attached gallery.
