Driveclub Game Director Paul Rustchynsky confirms that the long-awaited PS Plus Edition of the racing title is now in the final stages of development and that the full game will receive the Velocity Tour Pack DLC in the near future.

Driveclub was supposed to launch in fall of 2013, but got delayed for polishing reasons for almost a whole year, reaching the PS4 in October of 2014. Unfortunately for fans, the title disappointed at launch due to multiplayer glitches that prevented its social racing promise from coming true.

At the same time, the issues caused the free PS Plus edition to get delayed indefinitely.

After several updates made online improvements to prepare for the PS Plus Edition, Evolution's Paul Rustchynsky confirms on Twitter that the free version of the game is now in the final stages of development.

He also mentions that the next DLC for Driveclub is called the Velocity Tour pack and will include new tracks, not to mention the possible Peugeor EX1 concept car and vehicles from "a certain Japanese car manufacturer."

You can expect to see the new content revealed next week, probably during Sony's E3 2015 press event, which is set to take place on June 15, in Los Angeles.
