Driveclub developer Evolution Studios has shared some more details about its upcoming racing game for the PlayStation 4 platform, revealing that owners of the console will need around 17GB of free space and that, due to the small size, the loading times all average under 10 seconds on a stock hard drive.

Driveclub is one of the few PS4 exclusives set to debut this fall, and developer Evolution wants to prove that the year-long delay has resulted in a great racing experience that's both fun and social, so that players can have fun all around the world with all sorts of people.

Now, in order to settle a few questions from the community, Game Director Paul Rustchynsky has revealed a few interesting details on Twitter.

First up, he confirms that both the regular and the PS Plus editions of Driveclub will require around 17GB of space. Bear in mind, however, that only the full version of the game will be available for preload, in case you pre-order it via the PlayStation Store.

What's more, because the game doesn't have that big of an install size, Rustchynsky mentions that loading times for all the tracks are averaging at under 10 seconds, this on a regular PS4 500GB hard drive.

As such, fans of the game shouldn't expect to endure lengthy loading screens when jumping into the racing experience this October.

With #DRIVECLUB having gone gold I get plenty of questions about the install size. We managed to compress it to just ~17GB in the end :) — Paul Rustchynsky (@Rushy33) September 12, 2014

@mjovs12 I'll take that bet. DRIVECLUB's loading times are amazing. On average about 10 seconds or less on a stock HDD. — Paul Rustchynsky (@Rushy33) September 12, 2014
