Sony has just issued another statement concerning Driveclub, its long-awaited racing game for the PS4, confirming that work is progressing really well and that a new reveal will be made soon enough by the team at Evolution Studios.

Driveclub was initially set to debut for the PS4 during its launch in November of last year, but Sony took the decision to remove the racing title from the lineup for some more polishing, promising that it would debut in spring of this year.

Now, in the midst of layoffs at developer Evolution and radio silence about the new game, the company has confirmed that the development of the game on PS4 is "going from strength to strength," according to Videogamer.

"We have full confidence that the game will deliver on its PS4 promise to be the first truly socially connected racing title and we are very pleased and excited by the calibre of work from Evolution Studios."

"The progress being made on the game is spectacular so we're looking forward to sharing an update on development, release date and videos of the game in action in the weeks to come. We thank you for your patience and assure you, it will be worth the wait," the studio added.

As such, PS4 owners will be able to get their racing game in the future, so keep waiting for an official announcement.
