Developer Red Thread Games, led by Ragnar Tornquist, is taking Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey to the Kickstarter crowd-funding service, asking fans of the game universe to contribute 850,000 dollars (635,000 Euro) to its development.

The game will continue the story that Funcom created in The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, exclusively on the PC.

The official description states, “Trapped inside the mysterious Storytime, Zoë must learn to control the very fabric of dreams and confront her own past, before she can resume her life.”

Red Thread Games plans to deliver a deep adventure game, including three-character perspective and interesting puzzles to solve.

The style of the game will combine classic cyberpunk motives with fantasy and magic.

More information about the project and the rewards for those who choose to book it are offered on the Kickstarter page for Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey.
