Dragon’s Crown got its fifth and final update, introducing numerous improvements and tweaks to Vanillaware’s popular 2D role-playing brawler.

Atlus and Vanillaware launched the swords and sorcery side-scrolling title earlier this year for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms, and have since continually improved the game, cross-play support being just one example of the many additions made.

The latest update includes a host of new and improved features, adjustments to class skills, Colosseum rules on equipment, and tweaks to NPC behavior.

Players can now adventure to the Tower of Mirages, a new randomly-generated dungeon available in the Ultimate difficulty, which is accessible after clearing the ninth level of the Labyrinth of Chaos.

The new Ultimate difficulty raises the level cap from the previous maximum of 95 up to 255, as GameInformer reports.

Some changes have also been made in order to streamline the experience for character alts, allowing players to skip the first few quests and previously cleared Guild Quests.
