Bandai Namco Games has released yet another meaty story trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse, this time around showcasing some of the character's backgrounds and motivations.

The extended trailer offers us over six minutes of great footage from the Japanese edition of the action game, released on February 5, and is doing pretty well, according to the charts.

It's the third ever Dragon Ball game to offers fans of the series the chance to create their own custom character, and marks the franchise's debut on the new generation of home consoles.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse promises a brand new experience, using the DBZ canon but offering a new story, with multiple games modes to enjoy and a lot of multiplayer action.

It's certainly one of the most ambitious Dragon Ball games to date, featuring a large number of popular characters and allowing players to travel across time in order to change some disastrous events in the past, events that led to a catastrophic future.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is coming to North America on February 24 and to Europe on February 27, available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One home entertainment systems. The Windows PC version of the game will be released worldwide on February 27.
