The story of the game has plenty more to offer

Dragon Age: Inquisition has been out for one day and most of the players who are engaged with it are probably exploring the Hinterlands at this moment, the first major area that BioWare opened up, completing the wide variety of quests that populate the area.

It’s tempting to try and complete everything in the zone before moving forward, getting access to more items and leveling up the player party, but gamers should resist that temptation and move the story forward as soon as possible.

The reasons for this are twofold: the companion selection is initially limited and gamers will be happy to see how the most exotic ones, including the Qunari and a certain Grey Warden, play and the abilities that they bring to the party.

At the same time, while the Hinterlands are cool, they represent just a small sliver of the environments and situations that BioWare has created and it’s a pity to spent too much time in just one area without seeing what the rest of Dragon Age: Inquisition has to offer.

So players should complete the core story in the Hinterlands and then leave the smaller side quests for a while as they push the main narrative further, which will surely result in some interesting reveals and some cool character development.
