Sony has just confirmed that it's rolling out today, March 27, system software update 3.12 for the PS Vita handheld platform, designed to improve stability during the use of special features.

The PlayStation Vita received a major firmware update earlier this week, allowing owners of the portable console access to all sorts of new features, such as a fresh Calendar application that can be synced online and used to organize gaming events with fellow PS Vita users.

Besides that, improvements to the messaging system, the content manager, and other such options were added to the device.

Unfortunately, a few major problems appeared after the system software update went live, including issues for those who used 32GB memory cards with their consoles, as the Vita was no longer seeing the cards or the content stored on them.

Now, it seems that Sony is trying to fix some of these problems and has confirmed that it's rolling out right now PS Vita system software update 3.12, which, according to the official Twitter account of PlayStation, "improves system stability during use of some features."

It's unclear if the problem with 32GB memory cards has been fixed by the new firmware, so let's hope that more details are coming soon.
