Better performance and increased stability are now possible with this driver
Nvidia has just released a brand new beta driver for its GeForce graphics cards, bringing improved performance and stability in the new Tomb Raider title.Tomb Raider appeared on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 earlier this month but PC owners with Nvidia graphics cards found it borderline unplayable if they had tesselation turned on, as the game would crash every few minutes.
Tomb Raider dev Crystal Dynamics did release a patch to solve this problem and now Nvidia has launched its own set of beta drivers for GeForce cards that further improves stability and even increases their performance inside the actual game.
Nvidia didn't confirm just how much of an improvement in terms of performance is delivered but you can expect a higher framerate even with extra options like Tesselation or TressFX turned on.
