Deep Silver and 4A Games have just confirmed that the Faction pack for Metro: Last Light is now available for download on the PC via the Steam digital distribution service and will soon hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later today, July 16.

Metro: Last Light delivered a great first-person shooter experience focusing on the story of Artyom, the same hero from the first Metro 2033 game.

Now, in order to flesh out the universe, developer 4A Games has just launched the Faction pack DLC for Last Light, bringing three new missions to the campaign.

The new adventures put players in the shoes of a Special Detachment Sniper of the Red Line, a Hanza Ranger, and a Reich Heavy Squad Soldier.

The DLC also brings five new weapons to the campaign, in the form of the Abzac, Hellbreath, Medved, C4 Grenade, and the Silent Sniper Rifle.

The DLC is out now on PC via Steam, and will hit the Xbox 360 worldwide and the PS3 in North America today, July 16. PS3 users in Europe need to wait until tomorrow, July 17.

The DLC costs $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99 / 400 MS Points.
