Halo: Spartan Assault is now available for download worldwide on PCs and tablets powered by Windows 8, as well as on smartphones that are running the Windows Phone 8 operating system.Microsoft's Halo franchise has largely been reserved for its consoles like the Xbox, Xbox 360, or the Xbox One, but the company is keen on bringing the experience to a new set of devices.
As such, Halo: Spartan Assault is now available for the PC and on tablets that are running the Windows 8 operating system, as well as Windows Phone 8-powered handsets.
The game, in case you forgot, is a top-down shooter in which players guide Commander Sarah Palmer, as well as Spartan Davis, through a series of adventures that detail the backstory of the war between the Humans and the Covenant.
The game is available for $6.99 (around €5.32) worldwide. In the U.S., however, the game's Windows Phone 8 version will be exclusive to Verizon handsets until August 16, according to the Xbox Wire.
