A brand new patch for Call of Duty: Ghosts has just been rolled out across the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms, adding new prestige ranks for the Extinction co-op mode, as well as anti-cheat improvements.

Call of Duty: Ghosts has just seen the release of its latest Invasion DLC on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 and in order to augment the game on those two platforms, a new update has just been rolled out for the two Microsoft consoles, as well as for the PS3 and PC.

The new patch brings a suite of "overall anti-cheat improvements," according to the official forums, as well as new multiplayer lobby music.

Those who have unlocked new prestige levels will get to enjoy a golden knife with a faster melee attack at prestige 5, and a golden PDW with automatic secondary fire at prestige 10.

The Extinction cooperative mode has also seen modifications, as the recent changes to the Grenade Turret have been reverted, while five new relics and five new prestige ranks have just been added to the mode.

The new update is already available for download via Steam, on PC, Xbox Live, on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and PSN, on PS3. A PS4 edition of the patch should debut in the near future.
