Valve has apparently had a pretty big leak concerning The International 5 Dota 2 tournament, as an internal email sent to Dota 2 event organizers asking them to not plan competitions between July 13 and August 13 has just appeared online.

Dota 2 is one of the biggest online games currently available on the PC platform, and tens of millions of people play it every month through Valve's own Steam platform.

The free-to-play game drew in many viewers and professional teams during this summer's The International 4 tournament and raised a huge amount of money for the prize pool based mainly on the community, which bought a virtual compendium.

Now, it seems that Valve is already entering the planning stage for The International 5, which is going to take place in 2015.

The studio has begun sending out emails to all Dota 2 event organizers, asking them to not plan any competition next summer between July 13 and August 13.

"Though we are not ready to announce to the public yet, we would like to give you a heads up on our schedule for The International next year. Our window for the event will be between July 13th and August 13th, which will include travel time and operation of the tournament. We will follow up with dates for the Qualifiers as plans come into place," Valve says, as revealed by UFES Dota 2 Cup.

This year, The International 4 was held between July 18 and July 21. It's possible that next year's iteration will also use a late July or possibly early August date.
