Perfect World and Valve have confirmed that Dota 2 is now available as an unlimited closed beta title in China, meaning anyone can try out the game without having to obtain an activation code, like before.

Dota 2 has been in development for many years and, for quite some time, the only way to play the very popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title was to obtain an activation code or beta invite.

Since this summer, Valve has lifted this requirement and effectively released Dota 2 for all Steam users to enjoy, except a few territories like China, which still had restrictions.

Now, that limitation has finally been lifted, as Perfect World has announced in an official press release that Dota 2 will be available as part of an unlimited closed beta testing.

While it's still officially a closed beta, it's actually open to all Chinese gamers, who don't have to get a beta invite or activation code.
