Dota 2 fans have become furious with Valve over the weekend as the studio failed to live up to its promise of organizing a new Diretide in-game event in time for Halloween.

Dota 2 players were treated last year to Diretide, a special Halloween celebration inside the game that came with all sorts of customized gear and events.

As such, this year, many Dota 2 players were looking forward to Diretide 2013 in order to see what the studio had prepared for them.

Sadly, while special Halloween items appeared in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and the Scream Fortress 2013 happened in Team Fortress 2, there was no Diretide in Dota 2.

As such, many fans have started complaining online about Valve's lack of support for the community, according to Kotaku.

After seeing that Valve wasn't going to offer an answer concerning Diretide's disappearance, they also started harassing professional Dota 2 players.

As of yet, unfortunately, Valve is still silent over Diretide 2013.
