Fallout 4 developer Bethesda confirms that, in the new game, the dog follower, known as Dogmeat by the community, can't die, so fans should rest assured about the fate of their canine companion.

Fallout 4 got its first gameplay video earlier this month, and this week at E3 2015, developer Bethesda has showcased all sorts of other footage, screenshots, and information about its post-apocalyptic role-playing experience, not to mention the fact that it will debut in November.

The game's new videos focus on many mechanics that make up the RPG, including the dog companion, which returns from previous Fallout games. The animal, known as Dogmeat by the community, usually had a tendency to enter blindly into combat, and more often than not, he died or met another grizzly fate.

However, in Fallout 4, Bethesda confirms that players shouldn't worry about Dogmeat, as he cannot die. The confirmation has been made by the studio's Director Todd Howard on Twitter.

No other details have been given, so it's unclear just how the canine companion will behave in the upcoming game and how he will get out of combat, especially during hectic battles followed by smaller or larger explosions.

Expect to see and hear more about Fallout 4 as we get closer to its launch on November 10, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
