Larian Studios have decided that the current build of Divinity: Original Sin is stable enough and has sufficient features to be released to its Kickstarter backers starting December 17.

Following a successful crowdfunding Kickstarter campaign that raised more than double its intended goal from its backers, developers have been hard at work and have now revealed that they are ready to release the game's alpha to their supporters.

“The game is a big toy box in which you can do many things,” the game's creator said during the video showcase of the current alpha state.

More information regarding the availability of the alpha can be found in the official announcement made on Kickstarter.

Divinity: Original Sin is an isometric, complex role-playing game featuring tactical turn-based combat, set in the Divinity universe. Players control a party of heroes and guide them through a non-linear campaign and the exploration of the vast game world.
