The team at Arkane working on the downloadable content for Dishonored has considered a number of ideas for the game, including allowing the player to become one of the Overseers, the most powerful enemy of the game.

Ricardo Bare, a designer working at the studio, tells VG247 that, “We talked about maybe doing something with like the gangs of Dunwall, like it might have been fun to play as a gang member – a Bottle Street Boy or something like that – or to have you play as an Overseer.”

He believes all of them were fun and says that some of the concepts brainstormed have made in into the DLC.

It’s unclear whether Bare is talking about The Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches or about future DLC that is not yet announced.

The two packs that have already been announced tell the story of Daud, the assassin players face in the core game.

Brigmore Witches will launch in the middle of August.
