The development team at Blizzard announces that it will keep the Auction House for Diablo III offline for at least another 24 hours in order to continue the audit process that was launched after patch 1.0.8 introduced a glitch.

The team states, "This audit is a time-intensive process, and to make sure that we can do a thorough job, we’re going to keep the Auction Houses in maintenance until that work is complete."

A full roll back for Diablo III was ruled out because it would have disrupted all players, even those who are not involved with Auction House activity.

Blizzard promises to offer more information as the auditing process progresses and inform gamers whether any changes are introduced to the game.

Patch 1.0.8 for Diablo III is designed to enhance almost all aspects of the action role-playing game experience.
