The development team at Blizzard is announcing that it is deploying the first hotfix for the recent 2.2.0 update for Diablo 3, in order to fix one of the issues that gamers have managed to flag since the new patch was introduced.

The official forum states, "Crusader - Fixed an issue where if a player received fatal damage at the exact moment Akarat's Champion (Prophet) ended, the buff would be maintained permanently."

Blizzard has not offered any details about any other set of changes that it wants to make in the coming weeks.

The studio is continuing to run the Season 3 for Diablo 3 at the moment and is relying on hotfixes rather than on bigger patches to tweak gameplay.

Since the title was first launched Blizzard has worked hard to listen to community feedback and to implement the changes required to improve overall experience.

Rumors are at the moment suggesting that Diablo 3 will get access to another major expansion in the coming months, which might add a new class for gamers to play as and more environment to explore.

Blizzard has not confirmed the information but an official announcement might be made during the BlizzCon event that takes place in the fall.
