Video game developer Blizzard is announcing that it is planning to end the Season 2 for Diablo 3 on Sunday, April 5, in order to then introduce a new patch for the title and then prepare the game for the launch of Season 3.

The studio explains in the official announcement that the end will happen at 9 PM in all territories.

Season 3 for Diablo 3 will be launched on Friday, April 10 at 6 PM.

In the meantime, Blizzard will deliver a new patch for the title, which is designed to deal with a wide variety of issues and to improve the overall game experience, but the exact date for launch has not been mentioned.

The Season mode for Diablo 3 is designed to give players a way to compete and create new heroes that are only playable for a limited period of time.

The rewards for dedicated gamers include transmogrification pants, boots and banner rewards.

All the gold, character progress and other items gained in the Season are also transferred to the classic version of the game.

Blizzard has not said yet what kind of rewards it plans to introduce for Season 3 or whether it will also make other core gameplay changes.
