Video game developer Blizzard announces that the 2.1.1 patch for Diablo 3 is at the moment launched in North America and introduces a wide range of changes for the title, all of them designed to improve the balance and the player experience.

The official list of modifications made to the hack and slash experience shows a lot of tweaks that gamers will have to get accustomed to, including stronger pets and improvements for the Crusader and the Witch Doctor.

Diablo 3 is also witnessing changes for the monsters, the items that gamers get as loot and the way crafting and the Adventure mode work.

Blizzard adds, "If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is in the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 2.1.1 is live until those regions have also patched."

The company says that it is asking all players of Diablo 3 to continue sending in feedback in order to improve the experience via future patches.

It's unclear when the 2.1.1 update will be offered on the console versions of the title.
