Diablo 3 has received a set of hot fixes designed to eliminate the easy bounties that could be completed without killing a single enemy, as well as to increase the drop rate for legendary gear or Greater Rift keys.

Diablo 3 received a major update last week, in the form of patch 2.1.0, which brought forth a suite of new features, such as Seasons or Greater Rifts, but also tweaks to existing classes, gameplay mechanics, and more.

Now, developer Blizzard has rolled out a series of hot fixes for the game, designed to eliminate known exploits and to ensure that players are rewarded for their efforts.

As such, the drop rate for Legendary items in specific bounties has been "drastically increased," according to the Battle.net announcement, and takes into account the game's difficulty level. The Cesspools level should also spawn enemies less frequently right at the beginning.

Quite a few easy bounties have been eliminated by Blizzard, as players were exploiting them to earn easy XP and gold. These are: Matriarch's Bones, Jar of Souls, Miser's Will, and A Miner's Gold.

Items like Boon of the Hoarder should work correctly when a player pet kills an enemy.

Last but not least, the drop rate for Key of Trials for the new Greater Rifts has been increased and the actual Blood Shards that drop within such a Rift has also been increased and depends on the tier of the challenge.

The new hot fixes are already live in Diablo 3 and don't require a separate patch to be downloaded.
