14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard just announced that the results for their third poll in the "Design a Legendary" project for Diablo 3, related to the design of a legendary Mephisto-themed one-handed sword, are in.
The Battle.net post informs that over 19k Diablo 3 players from all around the globe took part in the week-long process meant to allow the community to decide what powers the legendary item should hold.
Blizard's designers created five different possible legendary powers for the item, and the community has voted number its favorite, "Elemental attacks have a chance to trigger one of powerful abilities inspired by the Lord of Hatred himself: Charged Bolt, Poison Nova, and Freezing Skull. Lightning damage has a chance to trigger a Charged Bolt. Poison damage has a chance to trigger Poison Nova. Cold damage has a chance to trigger Freezing Skull."
Now that the power the item will be imbued with has been decided, the design team will flesh out the item's remaining stat budget, including actual damage values for the triggered power, and when the process is completed, the item will be revealed, along a Q&A with the designers, on Diablo 3's official website.
