The development team at Bungie has already offered plenty of details about the story and the core gameplay of their upcoming Destiny and the latest promotional video for the shooter takes gamers to Mars and reveals some of the impressive landscapes that players will be able to explore.

The company states, "What little we know of Mars may as well be a myth. We built a massive metropolis in the red dust. No one knows what remains of our lost age, now buried beneath the dunes. Defeat our enemies. Explore the ancient ruins of our solar system. Become Legend."

Bungie reminds gamers that they pre-order Destiny in order to get day one access to a range of Vanguard weapons anbd gear, which can also be obtained via actual gameplay in the coming shooter.

After both an alpha and a beta period the developers have also said that community feedback has allowed them to improve the core mechanics in a variety of ways that will be visible on launch.

Destiny will be out on September 9 on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the 360 and the PS3.

Bungie has also confirmed that characters and items created and earned in the beta will not be transferred to the full game.
