Bungie confirms that update 1.0.2.1 for Destiny is now rolling out across the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox one platforms worldwide, meaning players should expect to be taken back to orbit despite being in actual events, and need to log back in before they can return to the multiplayer shooter.

Destiny launched almost one month ago and it's been quite a troubled time for the online-only title from Bungie, as many fans feel like it didn't live up to the expectations established by the developer ahead of launch, due to repetitive gameplay and the poor story.

Even so, Bungie is committed to improving the game and confirmed a few hours ago that patch 1.0.2.1 was set to go live in the near future, bringing even more changes and fixes.

Now, the studio confirms on its website that the update has begun rolling out across the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live online services for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One editions of the game.

As a result, players should expect to be returned to orbit even if they may be engaged in activities inside the game, from multiplayer matches to co-op raids or other such things. They'll have to log back in after the patch is installed in order to continue playing.
