The upcoming test phase kicks off later this month and has a special reward

After a lengthy period of radio silence, Bungie has revealed the full list of details about its upcoming beta test phase for Destiny, including start dates for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms, not to mention a schedule for the trial run.

Destiny launches on September 9, and Bungie already offered all PS4 owners a chance to try it out via a special alpha test phase last month.

Many fans are eagerly awaiting the beta test phase and now Bungie has offered quite a few details about the new trial and how it will be available to all those who pre-ordered the multiplayer game across all of its platforms.

First up, according to the official Bungie schedule, the Destiny beta debuts on PS3 and PS4 on July 17. It will run exclusively until July 21, and afterwards a two-day offline maintenance period will ensue.

Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners will be able to join in on the beta on July 23.

On July 26, those who play the beta across all four platforms will receive a special emblem that can be used in the final game.

On July 27, the Destiny beta will officially conclude.
