Brad Welch, a design director at developer 343 Industries, admits that Halo 4 had a number of problems with both core gameplay and with its downloadable content and has pledged not to repeat any of them for future games in the series.

Via Twitter the game creator explains that there were many ideas that could have been included in the game but were eliminated because the team did not have time to implement them.

He also admits issues with DLC by saying that it was “Not great, yeah. We have to plan DLC early, so ultimately I didn’t balance internal, external & DLC maps well enough.”

News of the new Halo 5 has been limited in the past few months, even if the game was part of the highlight reel during the official reveal events for the Xbox One.

More details might be offered during the coming VGX event on December 6.
