Klemens Kundratitz, the chief executive officer of publisher Deep Silver, says that the only way to deal with the phenomenon of PC-based piracy is to simply ignore it and try to create experiences that gamers are willing to pay for.

He is quoted by Gamasutra as saying that, “In a business plan, we typically ignore it.”

The executive adds, “I think we just need to make sure that the games we publish are worth the money, and certainly there is always this piracy situation that any publisher has.”

The CEO says that for recent releases like Metro: Last Light and Saints Row IV PC sales have been lower than those on current-gen consoles, but not just because of piracy.

Deep Silver is also trying to make sure that its titles support modding and other features requested by the PC community in order to make the games it is launching more attractive.
