The development team at Ambient Studios, who was working on Death Inc., announces that it is closing down due to a number of financial issues and that all gamers who supported the title via its paid alpha options will get refunds.

An official statement reads, ”It’s been an amazing ride and we’ve produced some amazing products like Monster Meltdown and Death Inc. We’re super proud of what we achieved, but ultimately we didn’t manage to make enough money to keep the wolves from the door.”

Ambient thanks all the players who supported their development efforts and says that it’s grateful for their support.

A full version of the game was supposed to launch in November and everyone who contributed to the game will get a full refund.

Death Inc. had an interesting idea, but when I played a demo I did worry about its long-term potential.
