Dead Rising 3 was announced to come to the PC sometime this summer during last week’s E3 convention, and now developer Capcom has revealed the game’s precise release date.

Dead Rising 3 will show up to the PC party on September 5, breaking the shackles of Xbox One exclusivity it has had to wear since Microsoft launched the all-in-one entertainment system.

In addition to the release date, Capcom has also announced that the PC edition of Dead Rising 3 will arrive without the 30 frames per second cap it has on the console.

“While Dead Rising 3 is optimized to run at 30 frames per second for gameplay reasons, you can expect it to still run fine uncapped under most conditions provided you have a capable enough hardware. We can’t guarantee that there won’t be issues, and obviously depending on your rig you may see different results. Rest assured the beefier your gaming machine, the smoother your zombie killing experience will be,” Capcom has said.

Both the minimum and recommended specs are listed on the Dead Rising 3 Steam page, in case you’re wondering just how beefy your gaming rig needs to be to run it.

Like previous installments in the series, the third-person shooter features a ton of crazy zombie-bashing action and an in-depth crafting system, and a vast, open-world environment.
