Dead Island: Riptide, the standalone expansion from developer Techland and publisher Deep Silver, managed to take the number one position in the United Kingdom during its first week on sale, which ended on April 27.

The game was coldly received by critics and many fans of the Dead Island concept complained that its level of innovation was too low.

Injustice: Gods Among Us, the fighting game from NetherRealms, is in second place this week, while Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, the expansion from Capcom and another new entry, is on the last position of the podium.

Star Trek, yet another new game, is in fourth place, while Tomb Raider has also dropped one position to reach fifth.
